I know how I feel
Or so I believe
You got under my skin
Not merely a fling

I don't know you
Barely a fraction
Will you show more?
Or remain stranger

What’s got into you?
How could I know?
I'm scared now and then
Dear, what a mess

I can't let go
Not impervious at all
What is it about you?
Odds are, I love you

You might break my heart
Tribulations of love

I can't blame you 
Not really your fault

I confessed heart and mind
A rare feat, mind you
A challenge of sorts

You show you cared
Should I even care?
Guess I won't know

What a gruelling uncertainty
Not a chance to evade it
The day may come
To take its toll on us

Even so, hands down
It's worth a try
A cute catch you are

              For some people, their parents are their own personal heroes and they wish to emulate them by any means possible. For others… it is preferable to follow a completely different path, far from what might have been expected from their families.
