Any other Love Poem

by Olivia Hiba

I know how I feel
Or so I believe
You got under my skin
Not merely a fling

I don't know you
Barely a fraction
Will you show more?
Or remain stranger

What’s got into you?
How could I know?
I'm scared now and then
Dear, what a mess

I can't let go
Not impervious at all
What is it about you?
Odds are, I love you

You might break my heart
Tribulations of love

I can't blame you
Not really your fault

I confessed heart and mind
A rare feat, mind you
A challenge of sorts

You show you cared
Should I even care?
Guess I won't know

What a gruelling uncertainty
Not a chance to evade it
The day may come
To take its toll on us

Even so, hands down
It's worth a try
A cute catch you are
