Come Again
by Olivia H.
Through pages I forget
Distraction comes by
I can't hold my mind
Former shelter,
now a challenge.
I read to get lost
I read to escape
Or to find myself.
My drive then decreased,
My passion flickered.
A mear nostalgic memory.
Books were my home,
A safe place to go.
Each a world to explore,
Full of words, all enchanting,
Made me radiant,
Make me smarter.
Make me smarter.
My company,
What happened?
I cannot understand.
Those pages,
Full of magic and fun,
Full of magic and fun,
Turn blank in my mind.
My love for you won’t die
Through best and worst,
You guarded my former self.
I'll find you again.
It won't be our end.
You'll come again.
You'll come again.
